It is with sadness that Bayer Fund shares with the community news of the passing of Michelle Insco, our colleague and friend. Michelle passed away peacefully on July 13, 2020 in the comfort of her family after battling 8 years of colon cancer. She joined legacy-Monsanto Company in 2011 through the acquisition of Divergence, Inc. where she served as an officer of the company and led business operations for ten years. Prior to Divergence, Michelle worked for KPMG LLP in New York, NY, serving most recently as Program Officer for the Chairman of KPMG U.S. and International. She earned a B.A. in Communications and Business from Northeast Missouri State University, now Truman State. Michelle lived in St. Louis with her husband and two sons. She enjoyed volunteer work, fitness, sports and spending time with her family.
During her time in the Bayer Fund, Michelle focused much of her effort on supporting education in rural and underserved communities. She was recently awarded the FFA Honorary American Degree for her commitment to education. In honor of Michelle, Bayer Fund awarded to Hodgen Tech Academy the first Bayer Fund Michelle Insco STEM grant of $10,000.
